Yes, we have a bookclub!!
The BSJ Bookclub takes place monthly with the date and location (typically at the Ethnic Cultural Center on UW Campus) announced on our Instagram. The beloved LovingRoom Bookstore hosted our first year of book club meetings until they were forced to close in October 2024. We are forever grateful to LovingRoom for providing a rich and beautiful environment that appreciated and celebrated Blackness in all its forms. We hope for their return.
Books
We read a book quarterly. We are intentional about book length so as to make sure the bookclub is accessible for those with busy schedules. If commuters cannot make it to the in-person meetings, we also have an online zoom option! Just reach out to us via instagram or email.
